Cornet Obolensky is a world know jumper sire that is currently 3rd on the world sire ranking WBSFH.
Cornet Obolensky was second at his stallion performance test in 2001 and came third in his devision at the 30-days test with the points 9.24 for jumping where he among others was rewarded with a 10 on free jumping.
Since then Cornet Obolensky has competed with great success both with Ludger Beerbaum and Marco Kutscher. As a 5-year old he qualified with Marco Kutscher for the final at the Bundeschampionship and was in the top at the international Youngster Tour
Cornet Obolensky won team gold medal at the European Championship in 2011 and in 2012 he won the World Cup jumping in Zürich, the nationsaward in Rome and Rotterdam and was the German horse with most winnings. He was also announced “Ambassador” of the Belgian association in 2012. He has to victories in the Samsung Super League final with his rider Marco Kutscher, he won the German championship in 2008, a number of Grand Prix and represented Germany at the Olympics in 2008. The year after he was 2nd at the World Cup in Bordeaux, 3rd in the Grand Prix in Rio de Janeiro and was highly placed at the Global Champions Tour final in Doha. He has in total won EURO 799,952.
Cornet Obolensky has a breeding index in jumping on 165 with a 96% security. Even the Cornet Obolensky offspring have shown to inherit his talent for jumping and are doing great at the competitions. in 2013 he had 194 offspring that had competed jumping at S-level in Germany and earned 857,543 EURO during that year. In total his offspring have earned EURO 1,783,462, 32 offspring have competed internationally and he has more than 60 approved sons. Of the most famous are the offspring Cornet d’Amour that won the silver medal at the European Championship in 2013 with Daniel Deusser. Other successful offspring from the first year by Cornet Obolensky are the stallions Cristallo (1.60-jumping with Henrik von Eckermann), Cornado NRW (1.60-classes with Marcus Ehning), Conte Bellini (World Cup final in Gothenburg in 2013), Marco Kutcher’s Cornet’s Cristallo and Emanuele Gaudiano’s European Championship horse Cocoshynsky. A Cornet Obolensky foal won the German foal championship in 2004 and in 2006 an offspring won silver among the fillys in Lienen and a daughter was the reserve champion among the fillys.
Cornet Obolensky is by the sire Clinton by Corrado I that was very successful at competitions and that combines the famous blood lines Cor de la Bryère, Landgraf I and Capitol and is out the Holstein line 8829. The maternal grandfather Heartbreaker has won World Cup’s and is a son of the world known jumper sire Nimmerdor.
