JAN BRINK

With an eye for details, a passion for sport, a drive for progress and evolvement and a sense for business, Jan has developed a home for all families living there and their friends as well as a flourishing business all surrounding the four-legged.

Aside school, Jan spent many years of spare time in the hockey arena and made it all the way up to junior national team level. A few years into his hockey career, he discovered the local riding school and a passion for horses and the equestrian lifestyle commenced. After a few years of practising both sports, the time aspect forced him to choose between the two sports – and fortunately he chose the horses.

As determined and passionate as he is with everything in his life, he quickly became fanatic with the riding and went to Flyinge to work for three years after graduating from school. At Flyinge he learned the basic skills of riding and handling horses and soon he rented a stable, trained horses after work hours and started selling dressage horses abroad. Determined to go far with his riding, he went from the education at Flyinge to the most acknowledged riders in Germany at that time, the legendary Herbert Rehbein and Georg Theodorescu, to work and learn for a few years.

At this time he also got in contact with the Swedish Albinsson family and together they started a cooperation that should soon lead to a promising dressage stable. It started with a small farm, a cow stable and a little hen house in Tullstorp. Determined as he is, Jan worked hard and based on the sound philosophy of only expanding and building when the company could afford it, Tullstorp Dressage Stable AB evolved slowly but surely. After some years, Jan was eager to build the equestrian centre of his dreams and impatient as he is by nature, it was decided that Jan should buy out the Albinsson family in order to be able to expand and evolve at his own pace. The Albinsson family is truly the family of Jan and Tullstorp.

While working hard with training and selling horses in order to afford the development of Tullstorp, Jan also worked hard to reach his sportive goal of being no. 1 in the world in dressage. His true dedication to reach his goal alongside hard work and great partnerships brought him all the way to the top when he won the great Aachen Championship in 2005 and was ranked no. 1 in the world.

Through decades, Jan has succeeded in creating a remarkable international dressage stable in the South of Sweden, where customers fly in from all over the world to purchase exclusive dressage horses for the top sport.

Part of the success according to Jan is the consistency in great long-lasting partnerships both in regards to horses, trainers, sponsors, breeders etc. For decades, Jan trained for Kyra Kyrklund and they still work together. During this time he competed in 3 Olympics, won 7 international medals and 7 Swedish Championship Gold Medals.

“I am always more interested in what I am about to do than what I have already done.”
