Two days of symposium for the New England Dressage Association in Boston

Jan Brink did a symposium for the The New England Dressage Association at the Absorbine/ NEDA Symposium 2026. This was the first time that Jan came to New England to share his philosophy of training and teaching riders.

The Symposium took place on October 17th and 18th, at the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center in South Hadley, Massachusetts.

Jan arrived in Boston two days before the symposium so that he could meet the 8 riders that had carefully been selected to participate in the symposium on Friday. Meeting the riders before a two day symposium gives time for a proper talk and introduction of each combination to prepare the final details.

For two full days the audience could follow Jan working with riders and horses from young horses up to Grand Prix. A big part of the symposium is not only the teaching itself but the talk about Jan philosophy not just on the technical parts of training but the entire concept of teaching, educating horses as well as riders as well as taking care of your horse the best possible way and keeping a happy athlete and partner for many years, such as he did himself with Briar. It’s sharing of knowledge, giving tip and ideas, opening peoples eyes for new approach and ways of thinking.

The symposium was highly appreciated and we thank NEDA and their sponsors Absorbine and Equestic for a very well arranged and high quality symposium.
