Jan Brink named “Swedish Elite Rider”

Jan Brink is the first dressage rider to be named “Swedish Elite Rider”

On Saturday evening at Sweden International Horse Show, the Vocational Examination Committee and Riding School and Training Section of the Swedish NF proclaimed the first three riders ever to receive the title “Swedish Elite Rider”. The award was handed out  by the Swedish Equestrian Association’s chairman Sandra Ruuda to show jumper Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, eventing rider Piia Pantsu and dressage rider Jan Brink.

The motivation was as follows:

The title is the highest title for riders and a distinction that is handed out with the outmost restriction 

  • educates horses from the ground up to the highest level
  • has the ability to educate employees and students
  • has shown the ability to educate horses in the ground within all equestrian disciplines
  • has shown the ability to educate horses up to the highest level in at least one of the equestrian disciplines
  • has shown a solid competence and experience of equestrian sport through both profession and competition results
  • has a profound knowledge och many years of experience with education, training and competing
  • is able to head hunt, negotiate and sell horses both nationally and internationally for own and others account,
  • is an excellent ambassador for the equestrian sport and maintains the highest professionalism in his work,
  • stands for high ethics and moral at all times
  • shares his experiences and knowledge willingly and with great enthusiasm
  • always has the horses’ best interest at heart
