Detroit is a noble stallion with a character and exceptional gaits, which his offspring have shown to inherit. He was the most expensive foal at the auction in Vectha. Detroit competed and had many victories as a young horse, among others he won the Championship for riding horses in Höven 2009 and he won the qualification to the Bundeschampionat with 8.7 points. For a while now Detroit is ridden by his new owner Anna Zibrandtsen who is training for Jan Brink and together they are educating him for Grand Prix. At the same time Anna & Detroit competes in the Danish Young Rider team and won a bronze medal in Italian Arezzo and individually they were placed 5th in the European Championship final 2014.
Detroits sire Dimaggio (by Don Primero) won the World Championship for young horses in 2000 and he was victories and placements at S level. He is the sire of more than 20 approved stallions and he is a good decisive hereditary transmitter of a number of great competition horses. Dimaggio is among others the sire of the approved stallion Di Magic that was sold of the high amount of 240.000 EURO in 2011. More offspring have been sold at top prices at various actions. He is even the grandfather of Woodlander Farouche, the winner of the World Championship for Young Horses in 2011 and 2012.
The grandfather on the dam side is the totally black Lord Liberty G that in 1995 was the first overall champion in Oldenburg. The dam Rhapsodie was in a ”Diamond Ring” mare in 1998, she has now been elite awarded and has produced 7 foals that were in the top at the elite foal auction in Vechta. Her first daughter, the great mare Rhapsodie Queen, is ridden by Isabell Werth and has competed Grand Prix. Her haflbrother by Donnerschwee is successfully competing in Switzerland. The grandmother’s dam Rigesca was a ”Brilliant Ring” mare already as a 3-year-old, is now both statspremie- and elite mare and has two approved sons, Austrianer and Goldgraf. Detroit is out of a strong mother line that goes all the way back to the middle of the twentieth century originating from Wenland, the Hannoveranian breeding of jumper horses has its roots. They are responsible for many good competition horses as for instance Josef Neckermanns Mariano.
Detroit is available via FAI from Tullstorp, see Conditions & Facts for more information.
